Streak Finally Over, Ramos Held Hitless
Saturday, July 14th, 2040
Akron defeated Casper 5-3 today at The Graveyard, but saw the 20-game hitting streak of Blimps shortstop Roberto Ramos snapped -- the Ghosts held Ramos hitless in 5 at-bats.
"I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts."
So far this season Ramos is hitting .331 with 3 home runs, 22 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 79 hits in 239 at-bats and a .395 OBP.
