Esposo Wins Award for 3AA Dominance
Friday, October 5th, 2040
At the age of 22, Francisco Esposo says he still has a lot to learn about life in M3L Double A.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Barton Springs Blues reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2040 M3L Double A Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Turrialba, Costa Rica native said.
For the season, Esposo had 11 saves in 39 relief appearances, which totaled 44.2. He fanned 45 betters, while walking 15 and put up a record of 2-2 to go with his 1.01 ERA.
He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Javier Benavides of the Marquette Miners finished second in voting, while De Dion-Bouton of the Asheville Highlanders finished third.
