Atoms Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Saturday, September 1st, 2040 Wilson Molina said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the Bethesda Atoms after they missed the M3L Double A playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. The Atoms have missed the playoffs 21 times in their 25 years as a M3L Double A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 3rd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2036. In the last 10 seasons, the Atoms have missed the playoffs 8 times. Bethesda has won the 3L AA Championship 2 times in their history. |
