García Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits Sunday, July 29th, 2040 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Asheville's 11-5 win over Providence today, catcher José García was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Field of Plenty. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," García said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." José García singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
