Great Week for Asheville's Dean Barthorpe Monday, July 2nd, 2040 So far in his young career, Dean Barthorpe has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the M3L Double A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old Asheville Highlanders first baseman hit at a torrid .556 clip as he collected 10 hits in 18 at-bats, no home runs, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored. So far this year Barthorpe is batting .272 with 6 home runs, 26 RBIs and 22 runs scored. |
