GONE! GONE! GONE! 3 HRs for Lawrence
Monday, June 18th, 2040
Hialeah Dodos third baseman Ron Lawrence had a magnificent game against the Scranton Supernovas today, rocketing three balls out of Nuclear Stadium to help the Dodos take the 10-5 victory.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Lawrence went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Hialeah manager Nick Allen said later. "Seems like Ron found his home run stroke today."
Ron Lawrence hit a two-run home run off Joaquín Pérez in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Joaquín Pérez in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Butch Cummings in the 8th.
Thus far this year Lawrence is batting .327 with 7 home runs, 13 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
