Wheeler Gets Award for Relief Work Monday, October 8th, 2040 He may only be 25, but Sterling Wheeler of the Alloway Halberds has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the USSL Triple A. The reliever was today named the SAAA Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2040. He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up no saves in 26 relief appearances and 38 strikeouts in 44.1 innings. He had a record of 4-1 to go with his 1.02 ERA. He received 7 first place votes out of a possible 10. Terry Lesage of the Calgary Lynx finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Ales Kretky of the Scranton Supernovas finished third.
