This Week's Star Player is Arellano Monday, July 30th, 2040 27-year-old Juan Arellano made a few Sunset District headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USSL Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 13 at-bats to put up a .769 average. Arellano collected 1 home run, 4 RBIs and scored 2 runs. So far this year in 48 games Arellano is hitting .285 with 10 home runs, 25 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
