Rojas on the Attack, Player of the Week Monday, September 17th, 2040 24-year-old Francisco Rojas made a few Baton Rouge headlines during this past week as the rookie catcher proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and USPL Triple A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 6 hits in 9 at-bats to put up a .667 average. Rojas collected 1 home run, 2 RBIs and scored 3 runs. In the current season, Rojas has put up a .251 batting average with 43 hits, 3 home runs, 15 runs batted in and scored 23 runs. |
