The Bakersfield Nobles have officially captured the crown, the 13th in franchise history. "We've got a team that can do it all and we think do it just as well as anyone in the league," said reliever Jeremy Gonzáles. "I hope no one is taking us lightly once the playoffs start." Certainly the team's division crown will garner them a fair bit of respect, as the 68-28 record puts the club in position for the franchise's 10th USPL Triple A championship. "You never get tired of being in the playoffs," said manager Zach King. "This is what you play for." |
