Briggs's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Saturday, July 28th, 2040 Nobody has been able to shut down Alaskan Humpbacks third baseman Wally Briggs in recent days. The Port Royal Disaster fared no better than the rest. Today at Ballpark of Port Royal, Briggs picked up 2 hits in 4 at-bats en route to a 3-1 Humpbacks victory. It stretched his hitting string to 20 consecutive games. Wally Briggs singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Rodrigo Alarcon in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Briggs is hitting .324 so far this season with 19 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has 58 hits including 1 home run, 9 walks and .361 OBP. |
