Athletic Club KC's Bennett Sidelined for Season Sunday, September 2nd, 2040 The doctors have spoken and Jack Bennett of the Athletic Club KC Reserves didn't like what he heard. The 27-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Bennett sustained his season-ending injury during the Salt Lake City Buzz game yesterday at Spirits Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Athletic Club KC medical staff reported Bennett had a fractured elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 months. So far this season Bennett has a 6-4 record with a 5.60 ERA. |
