Young Stretches Hit String to 20 Sunday, August 7th, 2039 Timber Hawks catcher Junior Young has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 1-for-3 in today's game against the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds. Augusta won the ballgame 8-4. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Junior Young grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a sac fly in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. Young is batting .309 with 8 home runs and 37 RBIs this season. |
