3L Best Mound Performer Named Wednesday, October 31st, 2040 The Long Island Lighthouse have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Juriaan Roos, this year's Menard's Third League Outstanding Pitcher Award selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Roos compiled a 6-7 record in 20 starts, tallied 104 strikeouts in 132.2 innings and recorded a 3.46 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .249 batting average against him. Alfonso Caballero of the St. Louis Coeur finished second in voting, while José Pacheco of the D.C. Divided finished third. |
