Zhu Wins 3L Player of the Week Honors Monday, September 24th, 2040 22-year-old Yeow-whye Zhu sent shock waves through Menard's Third League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Menard's Third League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Zhu made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .480 average, 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs and 5 RBI. Where the Houston 1837 BBC third baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Zhu certainly made his mark last week. Currently Zhu is hitting .296 and has collected 17 home runs, 67 RBIs and scored 49 times, while playing in 100 games. |
