League Suspends Yi
Friday, August 17th, 2040
It got ugly on the field today in the Dodgers and Pandas game, when Jung-joon Yi was ejected for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire. Before he left the dugout area, Yi threw a few bats and a garbage can on the field toward home plate.
League officials thought the Brooklyn left fielder went too far and gave him a 4-game suspension.
"Sometimes your emotions get the better of you and you just sort of lose control," Yi told reporters, "but that doesn't mean I was wrong, just out of control."
Yi has a .245 average and a .301 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 66 hits, 7 home runs and driven in 36 runs.
