Grupp Silences Athletic Club KC Sunday, July 29th, 2040 The Athletic Club KC were almost helpless today in their 11-0 loss to the Brooklyn Dodgers and hurler Holden Rosen Grupp. Grupp kept the Athletic Club KC confused all game, spinning a 4-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Grupp," Athletic Club KC manager Andy Mayfield said in his postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 33-year-old left-hander had no walks and 2 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Grupp said.
