Hit Parade: Hay Pops 5 Hits
Wednesday, September 5th, 2040
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Ft. Worth's 26-13 win over Nashville today, center fielder Kolby Hay was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Nashville Stadium.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Hay said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Kolby Hay struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
This year Hay is hitting .309 with 25 home runs and 79 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .351 clip and scored 76 runs.
