Hurdle Is August's Best PA Hurler Saturday, September 1st, 2040 Earl Hurdle hated to see August turn to September. And who could blame him? The 21-year-old hurler piled up 2 wins and 1 loss for the Gold Sox last month and won the USPL Single A Pitcher of the Month award for his efforts. Hurdle stymied opposing batters on 25 base hits and a .163 batting average. He rang up 66 strikeouts in 43.2 innings of work, surrendered 7 walks and fashioned a sparkling 1.24 ERA. This year Hurdle has gone 4-2 with an ERA of 2.01 and has 92 strikeouts in 67 innings. |
