Alameda Loses Cal Wilson for Season Wednesday, August 8th, 2040 The doctors have spoken and Cal Wilson of the Alameda Airmen didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Wilson sustained his season-ending injury during the Delaware 1787 BC game yesterday at Alameda Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Alameda medical staff reported Wilson had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 11 months. |
