Airmen Adams Gone for Year
Wednesday, July 25th, 2040
The doctors have spoken and Kurt Adams of the Alameda Airmen didn't like what he heard. The 22-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Adams sustained his season-ending injury during the Tennessee Smokies game yesterday at Alameda Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Alameda medical staff reported Adams had a stretched elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months.
This year Adams has gone 4-5 with an ERA of 5.49 and has 80 strikeouts in 78.2 innings.
