Téllez Takes SA Top Starter Trophy Sunday, July 1st, 2040 Over the past month Javier Téllez has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the USSL Single A. He proved all that and now he's been named June's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Mancelona Torch posted 4-0 mark and a 1.64 ERA. In 5 starts he tossed 33 innings, permitted 22 hits and fanned 40 batters. This year Téllez has registered 6 wins and 2 losses in 10 starts with a 2.83 ERA while registering 79 strikeouts and 22 walks in 63.2 innings. |
