Ríos Honored, 2039 3A Outstanding Hitter Award Tuesday, September 27th, 2039 Mike Ríos took M3L Single A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 22. For his spectacular campaign, the Athletic Club KC U-24 star has been named the 2039 M3L Single A Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the third baseman. On the season he compiled a .323 batting average to go with a .408 on-base percentage. The native of Jacksonville, Florida also added 22 doubles, 1 triple, 6 home runs, 44 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He received 4 first place votes out of a possible 12. Aristotle Auer of the Belleville Bulls finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Lester Threlfall of the Put-In-Bay BC finished third with 1 first place vote.
