Northern Lions BC Pick Up 5-2 Win
|
Northern Lions BC shortstop Ramón Padilla put his stamp on his team's 5-2 win over the Ft. Worth Cattlemen. Padilla was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Thunder Bay in the contest. Thunder Bay reliever Ralph DePalma picked up the win, upping his record to 5-1. Allen Werner shouldered the loss. Peace Addo recorded the save for Thunder Bay, his 5th of the season.
In the bottom of the first inning, first baseman Jason Slaybaugh delivered a key hit for the Northern Lions BC. With Thunder Bay trailing 1-0, he ripped a solo home run.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Padilla.
The Northern Lions BC sit in 4th place in the Silver League with a record of 49-43.
