The 2040 season is getting ugly for Vancouver.
The Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC defeated the Vancouver Grey Wolves, 5-3, at Wolf Den in Vancouver today. Leading the charge for Thunder Bay was first baseman Jason Slaybaugh. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With the win, the Northern Lions BC improved to 48-38.
The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth when Slaybaugh, who is tied for 4th in the SL in RBI with 65, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Northern Lions BC into the lead, 2-0.
Slaybaugh attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
