|
Getting a good performance from first baseman José de la Cavallería, the Vancouver Grey Wolves defeated the Oakland Oaks, 10-4. de la Cavallería went 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Grey Wolves. Vancouver now sits in last place in the Silver League at 24-52.
The result might have been different for Vancouver, had it not been for Shihei Kichikawa, the 29-year old third baseman . Kichikawa stroked a 2-run single in the top of the fourth inning to put Vancouver up, 4-3. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," de la Cavallería told the Vancouver Chronicle.
