The exploits of first baseman Rylen Roersma, who is tied for 9th in the PL in home runs with 4, helped the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids defeat the Buffalo White Walkers, 16-1. Roersma hit 3 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 7. Gerald Orlebar, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 8.1 innings. The defending champion Rainbow Mermaids have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 9-10 with the win.

Roersma put Northern Virginia up, 9-1, when he hit a 3-run home run off Juan Guillén in the top of the third. His 4th home run of the season helped the Rainbow Mermaids capture the win.
