The Ft. Worth Cattlemen picked up a win at The Cattle Pen, knocking off the Nashville Outlaws, 4-3. On the mound for Ft. Worth was right-hander Armando Romano, who played a pivotal role in the win. Romano went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 8. His record improves to 9-3. Jack Buyse earned the save, his 12th, for the Cattlemen.
Craig Woods, who is tied for 4th in the SL in triples with 4, came through for Ft. Worth with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth. The left fielder went 2 for 3 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 1 RBI.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Woods.
The Cattlemen, at 36-37, have now won 4 straight.
