Ft. Worth Cattlemen starter Allen Werner was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Cleveland Browns, 4-3. Werner, now 3-5, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. Jack Buyse, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 9th save.
Ft. Worth relied on the hitting of Derek Bangert to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Cattlemen on top, 2-0. For the game, Bangert had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
