Boston Wins Game in Extras; On Verge of R2042
|
The Boston Patriots went into extra innings against the Buffalo White Walkers but ultimately moved to within one game of the Round 2042 today. The Patriots downed the White Walkers at Beyond the Wall by a score of 2-1. Boston right-hander Nicky Bogdan was named player of the game after a solid outing in which he threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Patriots a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2041.
Bogdan allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 7.1 innings for the Patriots. He walked 2 and struck out 8.
"We played hard and won," said Bogdan. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
The next game is scheduled for tomorrow in Buffalo. The scheduled starters for the game are Alberto López for Boston and Zhao-ji Qiu for Buffalo.
