Northern Virginia third baseman Eustacio Tafalla was the key at 84s Field today, being named player of the game as he powered the Rainbow Mermaids to victory in a critical Game of the Round 2041. The Rainbow Mermaids took the 11-8 win over the Greenville 84s to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

Northern Virginia used the clutch hitting of Mathew Mayo to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to give the Rainbow Mermaids the lead, 6-5. For the game, Mayo had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"It feels good, just a great win all around," Tafalla said after the game.
