Giles, Blimps Sink Sonics Again in Game 3
Riding the 2-hit performance of catcher Bob Giles, the Akron Blimps got a road win against the Atlantic City Sonics, 5-4, in Game 3 of the SL AA Championship today. Giles went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Blimps, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 3 games to 0.

The Blimps took a 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning. Facing Atlantic City hurler Calle Lagerkvist with one out, Giles hit a 2-run home run.

"We're happy," Giles told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."
