Neal Blasts Tigers, Beavers Take Game 2, 4-3
With first baseman Kevin Neal leading the charge, the Ballard Beavers got a road win over the Twinsburg Tigers, 4-3, in Game 2 of the SL R Championship today. Neal was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 at Dodge Field to help Ballard force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Rich Joyner aided the Ballard cause with a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.

"This was a good win for us," said Joyner. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

The next game is set to be played Tuesday, September 11th, 2040. The scheduled starters for the game are Fredrick Shive for the Twinsburg Tigers and Bernd Elders for the the Ballard Beavers.
