Blaze Win to Tie Series with Crawdads
|
The South Beach Blaze topped the Cut Off Crawdads by the score of 8-4 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the PL A Championship today. The largest share of the credit went to player of the game and South Beach starter Jonathan Meeks, who threw 5 innings of shutout ball in the win.
The result might have been different for South Beach, had it not been for Furgentley Jamanica. The left fielder produced a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Blaze ahead, 1-0. For the game, Jamanica had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"I like the roll we're on," said South Beach manager Vicente Rodríguez.
Game 5 is scheduled for Friday, September 14th, 2040 at The Ballpark on the Beach. Slated to start are Ramón Aragón for the Cut Off Crawdads and Phil Day for the the South Beach Blaze.
