Cut Off Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R1
Despite a great performance by South Beach third baseman Rafael Soto, the Cut Off Crawdads defeated the Blaze by the score of 7-6 at Crawdads Field today. Soto went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once to earn player of the game honors, but could not prevent the Crawdads from moving one game closer to the Round 2. Cut Off now leads the PL A Championship 2-1.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 2nd and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when catcher Jermaine Vassell reached on an error by the SS. The Crawdads went on to win.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Cut Off manager Michael Garrett.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Crawdads Field. Slated to start are Jonathan Meeks for the South Beach Blaze and Patrick Robison for the the Cut Off Crawdads.
