The Laredo Hawks silenced the Delaware 1787 BC today to move within one game of the Round 2. The Hawks shut out the 1787 BC by a final score of 2-0 at Carrier Field. Laredo left-hander Sylvain Richard was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Hawks a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-5 SL A Championship.

Richard, who leaned on his slider, allowed no runs on just 1 hit over 6.2 innings for the Hawks. For the most part, Delaware hitters were simply overmatched.
