The Buffalo White Walkers moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Charleston Battery on the road at Charleston Armory by a score of 8-4. White Walkers left fielder Dread Roberts was named player of the game after he was 3-3 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The win gives the White Walkers a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.
It could have been a different outcome for Buffalo, had it not been for Jorge Herrera, the fan favorite . Herrera contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Buffalo up, 5-4.
"We believe in ourselves and we're willing to work hard. It's a good combination," Herrera told the Buffalo Citizen.
