Silver League Championship Game 1 Victory for Flores and Vancouver
The Vancouver Grey Wolves are one game away from a sweep after a 8-2 win over the visiting Ft. Worth Cattlemen at Wolf Den in Vancouver today. Grey Wolves left-hander Ángel Flores was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. Vancouver now holds a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Vancouver grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 2nd, David Stone delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Grey Wolves.

Said losing manager Scott Thompson: "Give the Grey Wolves credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
