The Ft. Worth Cattlemen have a critical edge over the Las Vegas Flamingos in the Silver League Championship, thanks to the veteran arm of Gustavo Tobías.
Tobías, 32, put on a dominant performance at The Strip today, leading the Cattlemen to victory, 7-1, in a pivotal Game . Ft. Worth is now one game away from the United States Silver League Championship, leading the best-of- series by a margin of - . Las Vegas will need to win both remaining games to advance.
It could have been a different outcome for Ft. Worth, had it not been for Tsuneari Hirano, the 25-year old second baseman . Hirano contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put Ft. Worth up, 2-0.
"We haven't forgotten how long this series might be, but is a heck of a lot better than - ," Hirano said.
