Almost There: Ft. Worth On Cusp of R1 Triumph After 10-3 Win
Ft. Worth left fielder Craig Woods was the key at The Cattle Pen today, being named player of the game as he powered the Cattlemen to victory in a critical Game of the Silver League Championship. The Cattlemen took the 10-3 win over the Las Vegas Flamingos to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.

In the bottom of the fifth, Ft. Worth shortstop Ashley Thachi had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and one out, Thachi stroked a run-scoring double to left-center. It made the score 4-3, Ft. Worth. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 doubles and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs.

"Before the game, I told the guys that what happened today would set the tone for the rest of the series," Flamingos manager JJ Hoban said after the loss. "I'm really hoping I was wrong about that."
