In a pivotal Game , the San Mateo Dirty Reds were hoping for a big game from starter Ratko Davidovic. They got one.
The right-hander shut out the Kingston Township Knights, proving to be the difference-maker as he led his club to a 5-0 victory. The Dirty Reds took the 5-0 win over the Kingston Township Knights to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
San Mateo relied on the hitting of Palaie Gaoteote to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Dirty Reds on top, 1-0. For the game, Gaoteote had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Gaoteote expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
