Papasogli, Las Vegas Open Round 1 with Win

The Las Vegas Flamingos have a critical edge over the Philadelphia 1776 BC in the Round 1, thanks to the veteran bat of Joseph Papasogli.
Papasogli, 34, put on a showcase performance at The Strip today, leading the Flamingos to victory, 9-1, in a pivotal Game . Las Vegas is now one game away from the United States Premier League Championship, leading the best-of- series by a margin of - . Philadelphia 1776 will need to win both remaining games to advance.
The Flamingos took a 9-1 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. Facing Philadelphia 1776 hurler Bligh Madris with one out, Papasogli hit a 3-run home run.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Papasogli told a Las Vegas News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
