Qiu, Buffalo Start Round 1 Strong with Home Win
The Buffalo White Walkers moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Greenville 84s at Beyond the Wall by a score of 2-1. White Walkers left-hander Zhao-ji Qiu was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 7 innings of 1-hit ball. The win gives the White Walkers a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.

Qiu was effective for Buffalo, seldom allowing the 84s to square up a pitch. The left-hander tossed 88 pitches over 7 innings. He limited Greenville to just 1 run on 1 hit.
