Browns Lose to Bowties, 7-6
|
Cleveland got a terrific game from center fielder Jim Brown. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Buckhead, 7-6. Brown was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Roderick Miller picked up the save for Buckhead, his 15th of the year. Their 28-31 record puts the Bowties 6th in the Silver League.
Marcus Shill, who is tied for 5th in the SL in runs scored with 39, contributed to the Buckhead win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 4 runs batted in.
"Glad to see the fans get into it," said Shill.
