The Boston Patriots are one game away from a sweep after a 8-1 win over the visiting Athletic Club KC at Dunkin Donuts Park today. Patriots right-hander Alberto López was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Boston now holds a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.
López, a native of Barahona, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Athletic Club KC hitters off-balance, while giving the Patriots 6 quality innings. López threw 84 pitches, allowing 1 hit and striking out 5.
