The Houston 1837 BBC are one game away from a sweep after a 3-2 win over the visiting New Orleans Voodoo at Houston Grounds today. 1837 BBC right-hander Jared LaBarge was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. Houston now holds a - advantage in the best-of- Third League Championship.
Yeow-whye Zhu had a critical at-bat with two out in the bottom of the eighth. The Houston third baseman came through with a solo home run to put Houston in front, 3-1.
