Vermillion Handcuffs Shredders, Knights Seize - Advantage in R1

The Kingston Township Knights started the Third League Championship in style today, downing the visiting Hollywood Shredders at Cloverdale Legion Park by a score of 4-2 to stake an early - lead in the best-of- series. Knights right-hander Zebulon Vermillion was named player of the game after he threw 7 innings allowing 2 runs.
Takenao Wakabayashi, who finished 5th in the 3L in triples with 5 in 2037, contributed to the Kingston Township win with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"Zebulon was throwing strikes, locating well," said Kingston Township manager Rayzor Ray.
