Pivotal Game Goes to Host Silver Sox, 3-2
The Chicago Silver Sox are now one game away from a sweep of the Toledo Stingers after a dramatic walk-off win in the 10th inning at Silver Sox Park today. Silver Sox right-hander Rhys Maskell was named player of the game in the 3-2 victory for a strong outing in which he threw 8 innings allowing 2 runs. Chicago holds a - advantage in the best-of- Round 1.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Michael Witt came to bat in the bottom of the tenth. Facing Toledo pitcher Austin Aries, he hit a 1-1 cutter for a solo home run. It was a game-changer, putting Chicago on top, 3-2.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Chicago manager Brett Reichert told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."
