Still Kicking: Portland Cut Panama City Series Lead to - With Late Win
Román Mejía pitched well, but the Panama City Piranhas lost anyway, falling 6-4 in extra innings to the Portland Evergreens at Evergreen Park. With the win, Portland took a - lead in the best-of- Round 1. Mejía was named player of the game after giving the Piranhas 7 innings and allowing 2 earned runs.

Portland won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Orynn Veillon on the mound for Panama City, third baseman Billy Dotson hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Evergreens fans to their feet.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Dotson told the Portland Herald.
