Getting an impressive start from António Arellano, Springfield beat Mercer Island by the score of 3-1. Springfield has now won 5 straight.

Springfield used the timely hitting of Yosuke Daisen to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put the Shooters on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
